Grays Harbor Court Appointed Special Advocates
….exists to recruit, train, support and encourage court appointed
volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children.
Over 400 of our neglected and abused children are presently in foster care.
Over 200 foster children are placed outside of Grays Harbor County.
138 foster children are represented by CASA advocates.
A child with a CASA volunteer more likely to:
Have his concerns known by the judge.
Spend eight months less in foster care and
be adopted or returned to their parents.
Half as likely to re-enter foster care.
Receive more services.
Do better in school and less likely to be expelled
